What makes DJ
Prashant different from
other DJ‘s?
I encourages clients to let me assist them in creating an experience
that
all the guests will enjoy. This begins by meeting with customers and
determining
their needs. Based on the customer needs I will recommend a package
that
will meet those needs. Once the event is booked, my clients select
their
music, plan the event, and set the timeline. The next step is to meet
and
ensure that everyone is on the same page.
What geographical area
do you serve?
I mainly perform events in the Chicago area. I have performed events as
far away as Florida to the south and New York to the north. I typically
charge
an additional fee for events over 30 miles from my recording studio in
Hoffman
Estates, Il. The additional charge is dependent on the distance
required.
This charge will be included in the quote that I provide you if you
have
selected your venue or venue city before booking my services.
When do I need to book
your services?
Since I can only perform a certain number events on any given day, it
is
recommended that you book with me as soon as possible. The longer you
wait
the more competition there is for your date. However, if you are trying
to
plan an event with short lead-time please call me, as I will try to do
everything
possible to accommodate your request. I have performed events
where
I was booked over a year in advance as well as only a few hours before.

do I need to do?
Once you have made the decision to book with me you need to sign my DJ
contract.
You can print out the contract from this website. Send a signed copy of
the
agreement and the requested deposit back to me and your date is secure.
What is included in your price? Why don't you publish your
price on
your website?
My policy is to discuss my services with customers prior to pricing.
This
allows me to present a package that will meet your needs. Everyone has
different
expectations when booking entertainment for their event. Once I know
what
you are looking for I can let you know if I am equipped to handle your
requirements.
There are many options to choose from including the size of sound
systems,
location of systems, extended lighting, length of contract, etc. and
the
combination of these will determine your individual package and
associated
cost.
What should I look for
when hiring a DJ
for my event?
Selecting the right DJ for your event is important. A DJ can help
create
the tone that you wish to set. I have several packages designed to
provide
entertainment options for different tastes and different budgets.
When will you arrive at
my event?
I arrive about one hour prior to the event start time. Although my
system
can be set up in less than 20 minutes, I like to allow plenty of time
to
test all components and make adjustments for optimal sound performance
at
your venue. Under most circumstances, there is no additional charge for
setup
and tear down time. The time that you book me for is 100% performance
time.
I will need assistance
with selecting the
music and timing of events. Can you help?
Anyone who books with me has access to view my whole music
collection.
These tools can help anyone get started with their event. I am also
available
by phone or in person to discuss your ideas and offer suggestions. Once
you
have booked with me feel free to contact me to assist with even the
smallest
detail.
Can we provide you with
our own personal
CDs to play at our event?
I am always willing to play selections from your personal music
collection.
I do ask that you provide those CDs to the me at least one week prior
to
the event. I will test the CDs to ensure that the requested songs plays
correctly
and that I will be able to get familiar with the music to determine the
best
way to fit it with your other music selections.
Can we see you perform
live?
I meet with potential clients on an appointment basis only. I am
available
most days and evenings during the week. I also perform at various
bridals
show, DJ showcases, and other events that you are more than welcome to
attend.
At these events I am completely focused on answering questions of
potential
clients.
What will you wear to
the event?
I will normally wear a suit to formal events at no additional cost to
you.
For more casual events, I will accommodate your required dress code
from
a suit and tie to a shirt and pants. It is completely your call!
Will you make any
announcements that I
need?
I am a seasoned professionals capable of adapting my natural style to
your
needs. Whether you want me to be outgoing and energetic keeping the
activities
on track and the guests informed or a low-key DJ playing great music;
it
is completely your choice. If you are looking for some major crowd
interaction
consider booking me.
Do you take requests
from my guests?
That is completely up to you. I will welcome all requests from your
guests
if that is your choice. When you complete your music request list you
are
able to select music that you DO NOT want played. If I get a request
for
a song that is on your DO NOT play list then I can handle this very
diplomatically
without upsetting any of your guests.
What kind of music will
you play during
cocktails and dinner?
I typically play more mellow music during this time: Soft Hindi
instrumentals
and love songs. I keep the volume down low so your guests can talk to
each
other comfortably. The ultimate choice however is up to you. I will
honor
your music requests during the entire event.
Am I required to include
you in my meal
count?
At most events that I perform where meals are served the vendors (DJ,
photographer,
videographer, etc) are generally provided with a meal.
Should I tip you?
Feel free to tip me if you wish. I will accept it
as the utmost
compliment. While a tip is not expected, it is always appreciated.
